A long-standing china shop in Northampton which was due to close has been saved by sales of royal wedding memorabilia.

Church's owner Steven Church said: "The royal wedding is a large element of our being able to move."

The company has found new premises nearby in The Ridings Arcade.

Church's China was established in Devizes, Wiltshire, in 1848 by Thomas Church before moving to Northampton's Market Square.

In 1996 Church's China moved into its current home in St Giles Street.
