Glenn Clary murder: Three guilty of beating man to death

Three people have been found guilty of beating a 60-year-old man to death in Northamptonshire.

Glenn Clary was punched, kicked and stamped in an attack which broke ribs, caused brain damage and a ruptured liver last August in Irthlingborough.

The jury at Northampton Crown Court found John York, 23, Jennifer Ryan, 46, and Gary Monaghan, 64, all from Irthlingborough, guilty of murder.

They will be remanded in custody until they are sentenced on Wednesday.

Attack filmed

Mr Clary, who lived at Garden Field Close, was found dead at a house in Crouch Road on 26 August.

The jury heard Mr Clary had been with Monaghan at his Crouch Road home drinking Frosty Jack's Cider.

The pair were later joined by York, also of Crouch Road and Ryan, of Baker Street, the court heard.

The jury was shown footage of the attack on him, which was filmed on a phone belonging to one of the defendants.

Mr Clary died from internal bleeding after blunt force trauma caused lacerations to his liver.
