CCTV images of more than 10 people who could be potential witnesses to the fatal stabbing of a Northampton man have been released by police.

Jon Casey, 35, was found seriously injured in Barrack Road, Northampton, about 17:30 GMT on 16 January. He died in hospital a short time later.

Police believe a number of people walking in the area at the time could help their investigation.

All information will be treated in the "strictest confidence", police said.

Five men have so far been arrested in connection with the attack

Det Insp Louise Hemingway said they have "spoken to a number of people" but "there are still more that we haven't been able to trace and who we believe may be able to help us.

"They may have seen or heard something that on its own appears insignificant but, when pieced together with other information, could be hugely important, and I urge them to call us."

Police hope to speak to the people captured on CCTV walking in Barrack Road between 17:15 and 17:20 on the day of the attack.

Four men, aged 18, 19 and two aged 20, linked to the incident, were arrested in Coventry on 4 February on suspicion of assisting an offender and remain on bail.

A 19-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder on 22 January, remains on bail pending further enquiries.
