Thousands came out to celebrate the Cobblers title win
Thousands of people lined the streets of Northampton to celebrate the Cobblers winning football's League Two title by 13 points.
A bus containing Northampton players left Sixfields Stadium at 16:00 BST, heading up Weedon Road.
After passing the train station the bus lapped All Saints' Church before stopping at the Guildhall.
County council chairman Phil Larratt presented a ceremonial scroll to the club as part of a civic reception.
'Ridiculously, unbelievable' season
The club's promotion to League One is a remarkable turnaround for the club which had nearly gone out of business in November.
The Cobblers finished their season on Saturday with a 2-1 win against Portsmouth, which meant they ended the campaign with an unbeaten run of 24 games.
