A pair of golden boots that David Beckham wore for his 100th England cap have been sold at auction for £17,360.
The boots were among 1,000 items of sporting memorabilia auctioned at Graham Budd in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
Beckham made his 100th appearance for the Three Lions at a 2008 match against France, external in Paris.
Auctioneer Adam Gascoigne said the price reflected "how well-loved Beckham is as a player".
The boots were embroidered with the names of Beckham's three children at the time: Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.
Mr Gascoigne said: "These boots were a one-off. To have something marking an important milestone for such an iconic England player makes them particularly special."
He said the boots had previously been on display at the David Beckham Academy.
"When that closed down, some of the staff were allowed to take items so that's where they came from."
Also under the hammer were football kit and memorabilia dating back to the 1960s, including a 1966 FIFA World Cup winners' medal, which sold for £26,000.
A Bobby Charlton England shirt worn in 1964 fetched £22,000.
"We have people bidding in Australia, Europe, the far East," Mr Gascoigne said.
"Football and the Premier League are massive in Asia, and we get a lot of people buying shirts and boots from there."
But he said the golden boots were "staying in this country".
"England items are highly collected, and he's one of England's best ever players," he added.
One item that didn't sell was the ball used in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup final between England and Spain, which went up with a guide price of £20,000.
"Not everything sells, but we've got strong interest so we are hoping that we'll be able to strike a deal in the coming days," he said.
