Northamptonshire Police were called to Occupation Road in Corby at 08:30 GMT on 10 January

A "much-loved" mother and "beloved daughter, sister and auntie" has been named as a suspected murder victim.

The body of Ewa Kotulska, 50, was discovered in Corby on 10 January.

A 63-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, and has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

In a statement on behalf of Ms Kotulska's family, her sister Aggie said she was a "beautiful human".

She said: "Ewa had fought through many challenges in her life and was a great inspiration to me and my children, who will miss their trips and walks with 'Ciocia Ewa' and staying up past bedtime during sleepovers with her.

"We are heartbroken and find it difficult to accept the world without her."

Ms Kotulska's mother, Stefania, added: "Words can't describe the pain of a mother's grief. She was such a good daughter. I love her so much."

Ms Kotulska was originally from Poland but had made Corby her home after moving to the UK.

Officers said a preliminary forensic post-mortem was carried out at Leicester Royal Infirmary on 12 January, however an exact cause of death would not be released until all test results, including a toxicology report, had been returned.

A senior investigating officer, Det Ch Insp Adam Pendlebury, said: "Our thoughts continue to be with Ewa's family and friends at this difficult time, as they try to come to terms with her death.

"The investigation into Ewa's death continues, and we would still like to hear from anyone who believes they may have information which could help us."
