Northamptonshire residents invited to help shape tree strategy

West Northamptonshire Council said it wants to maximise the benefits of trees in the county

People living in Northamptonshire have been invited to help shape an "action plan" for trees in the county.

West Northamptonshire Council, external said it was developing a "tree strategy" with the aim of "maximising the benefits of trees" in the area.

The council is working with Woodland Dwelling Ltd to shape the plan after an initial public consultation.

Three public drop-in events will be held in Northampton, Daventry and Towcester next week.

Northampton's Guildhall will host the first drop-in on Monday, 18 March, before a second at The Library in Daventry on Tuesday, 19 March. The sessions will conclude at the Forum in Towcester on Wednesday, 20 March.

All of the events will run between 10:30 and 16:30 GMT.

The council said residents, businesses and community groups were welcome to "pop in and speak to colleagues" to find out more about how they can shape the tree strategy and its next steps.
