Writer William Ivory explains passion for DH Lawrence

A Nottinghamshire screenwriter has been talking about his passion for the novelist DH Lawrence.

William Ivory, who has adapted Lawrence's Women in Love for BBC Four, said the writer, and the county of his birth, deserved more credit.

"Nottinghamshire, as an area, is not on the map as much as it should be," said Mr Ivory.

"Also, putting Lawrence back on the map [was important] because he is such a good writer and often overlooked."
