Police investigating the death of a man in Nottingham have launched a murder inquiry.

The body was found on land between Burrows Court and Rossington Road in Sneinton on Wednesday, following inquiries about a missing man.

The man has not yet been formally identified. A post-mortem examination is due to take place later.

A man arrested before the body was discovered continues to be questioned by police.

A police cordon remains in place at an address in Rossington Road, another at the site where the body was found and a third at an address in Lord Nelson Street.
