Nottingham cyclist killed in crash with lorry

A cyclist has died after she was involved in a crash with a lorry in Nottingham city centre.

The collision happened in Lower Parliament Street at 8:30 BST.

The cyclist was taken to Queen's Medical Centre but later died from her injuries. The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed at its junction with Pennyfoot Street and Fisher Gate until 14:00 while police, who are appealing for witnesses, investigated.
