A man and a boy have been charged with murder after another man was fatally stabbed in Nottingham city centre.

Keany Kristal Kissingou-Mabiala, 20, of Mowbray Court, St Ann's, died at the scene after he was found injured in Milton Street, next to the Victoria shopping centre, on Monday lunchtime.

Mazin Abdelmonim, 19, and the 17-year-old boy have also been charged with possession of a bladed article.

They are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, was further charged with possession of a cannabis and supplying a controlled drug.

Mr Abdelmonim, of Midland Way, in Radford, and the boy have both been remanded in custody.

Nottinghamshire Police said they are not looking for anyone else as part of their inquiries.

Det Insp Steve Wragg said: "I would like to thank the public for their co-operation and information to help us understand the circumstances of this attack.

"We are aware that Keany was a prominent figure in the local music scene and we understand people are incredibly saddened to have learned of his death."
