A man has been charged after a burglary and an attempted break-in in Eastwood.

Nottinghamshire Police say two buildings were targeted and a van through 14 April and into the following morning.

The suspect, 49, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with burglary, attempted burglary, and a theft from a vehicle.

The charges concern a property on Three Tuns Road, attempted burglary in Brunel Avenue, and tool theft from a van.

The suspect was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on May 16.

PC Liam O'Kane said: "I'm pleased a suspect has been charged and remanded in connection with these alleged offences, and we now await the outcome of this case through the courts."
