Mansfield: Arrest after gunshots heard in residential street

A man has been arrested after police were called to reports of gunshots in a Mansfield street.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to Edwalton Court at 21:00 BST on Thursday after two shots were heard.
No injuries were reported but a search of the area was carried out, the force said.
A 30-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and he remained in custody on Friday.
A police cordon also remained in place at the scene on Friday
Det Insp James Oakton said: "We acted quickly in response to this incident and a suspect has been arrested.
"Officers have been conducting a thorough search of the area and will remain there for most of the day as we work to understand what happened."
Extra police patrols are being carried out in the area and anyone with relevant information has been asked to contact detectives.
