A detainee at an immigration removal centre has been charged with arson following a fire earlier this month.

Two people were treated in hospital for their injuries sustained during the fire at Campsfield House in Kidlington, Oxfordshire on 18 October.

Farid Pardiaz, 24, of Campsfield House, has been remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in Banbury later.

Campsfield House is a long-term centre, privately run by MITIE, where men are detained under immigration laws.
