Oxford Army dad surprises daughter after two year deployment

Six-year-old Ella spends long periods of time away from her father because he serves abroad with the Army.

She has been raising money for Little Troopers, a charity supporting military children.

Her mother, Vanessa, from Longcot in Oxfordshire, contacted the organisation to nominate her daughter to be Little Trooper of the Month because of how well she had handled the separation from her father.

The charity was so impressed it decided to give her a medal.

And who should appear at her school assembly to present it but her father Ed - who had flown in from Iraq the night before.
