An interim board of governors has been in place since the resignations in November

The entire board of governors at a school that caters for children with severe emotional and social difficulties has resigned.

Oxfordshire County Council said an interim board and a headteacher had been put in place at Woodeaton Manor School in Oxford.

Pupils have had a reduced timetable for the last 10 days of term due to staff illness.

The school has been contacted for a comment.

The original board of governors resigned in November.

Oxfordshire County Council said the appointed headteacher had not left but was currently away, with an interim person in the role.

The authority has not confirmed why the board of governors resigned.

It said: "As with all voluntary roles, it is the personal decision of governors why they decide to take up the role and when they decide to stand down from it."

It added that the school leadership team was still working to source additional staff that might be required in January when the "vast majority" of pupils would be in school full time.
