Meetings to look at Shropshire health plans
- Published
Meetings are taking place as health bosses in Shropshire look at a range of proposals for changing hospital services.
One of the areas being looked at is maternity provision, with one proposal being moving Shrewsbury's consultant-led maternity unit to Telford instead.
Currently, Telford has a midwife-led maternity unit.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust said any changes will only be made after public consultation.
The meetings held on Monday and Tuesday involved clinicians, GPs and patient representative groups.
The outcome of the meetings will help work up form proposals which will be presented to the county's three health boards at the beginning of December.
