An inquest into the death of a man whose body was recovered from the River Severn has recorded a verdict of accidental death, caused by drowning.

Joshua Wreford, 24, was last seen in Shrewsbury town centre on 11 August after leaving The Source Vodka Bar. His body was found two days later.

The inquest heard he had been out with friends and had been drinking.

He became separated from his friends and his body was later pulled from the river.

Mr Wreford had worked as a dietician at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
