Council leaders say they are confident they have identified what needs to be done to stabilise land around the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site.

Roads at Jiggers Bank have been shut since November when landslips followed heavy rain.

Since then, emergency safety work has been carried out along with topographical and ecological surveys.

Telford and Wrekin Council said engineers had now come up with a design to stabilise the rock face.

The plans will go on display to the public on Tuesday evening at the Ironbridge Open Air Museum of Steel Sculpture.

The council said it hoped this work could start later in the summer and the roads could reopen some time after that.

Engineers have already removed more than 40 tonnes of debris in a bid to stabilise the rock face.
