River levels are falling in Ironbridge, according to the Environment Agency

All the remaining flood barriers in Ironbridge are being taken down.

The Wharfage, a main road giving access to shops and other businesses, would also be reopened to traffic, a Telford and Wrekin Council spokesman said.

Flood defences between Dale End and New Road in the Shropshire town were dismantled on Tuesday.

A flood warning that had been in force for Ironbridge has now been removed, with river levels falling, the Environment Agency said.

In Shrewsbury, St Julian's car park has reopened after a "big clean and sweep" on Wednesday morning, Shropshire Council said.

Frankwell Main car park was also reopened on Wednesday but Frankwell Riverside remains closed.
