Aga job cuts planned at Shropshire sites
- Published
Nearly 70 jobs at cooker maker Aga could go at two sites in Shropshire.
The firm, which was acquired this year by US-based The Middleby Corporation, said 24 manufacturing jobs were at risk in Ketley and 11 in Coalbrookdale.
More than 30 other jobs could go at Ketley, in Telford.
The firm said where roles had been identified as at risk, it was hoped it could minimise the impact through voluntary redundancies, early retirements or redeployments.
There are plans to shut a shop next to the factory in Ketley, with three staff set to be made redundant.

The firm said it had entered a formal consultation period with employees on Monday.
But it said there were no plans to close the manufacturing sites.
A "number of changes" would have to be made to create the circumstances that would help to deliver growth in the long-term, the firm said.
