Culverhay School decision to be reconsidered

The decision to close a school in Bath is to be reconsidered after a review by the council's scrutiny panel.
Bath and North East Somerset councillors voted to recommend the closure of the all-boys Culverhay School last month. A consultation had been due to take place.
But 27 opposition councillors signed a formal challenge to the ruling.
Following a meeting on Tuesday, the decision is now due to go before councillors again next week.
Culverhay, which is about half full, wants to introduce girls.
At the meeting on 21 July, the council's cabinet also decided to support the proposed federation of St Mark's C of E School with St Gregory's Catholic College, and support Oldfield School in its quest to become an academy - provided it becomes co-educational.
