Man killed by car in Clevedon on Christmas Day is named

A man who died after being hit by a car in North Somerset in the early hours of Christmas Day has been named by police.

Edward Heal, 19, from the town, was killed on Kenn Road in Clevedon at about 01:15 GMT.

He was confirmed dead at the scene after he was hit by a Mazda car. Police said an investigation had been launched.

Anyone with any information has been asked to contact Avon and Somerset Police.
