Councillor Carl Francis-Pester prosecuted for unpaid council tax

A North Somerset councillor was taken to court by his own authority for not paying his council tax, it has emerged.
Conservative Carl Francis-Pester is also the chairman of Clevedon Town Council's finance committee.
In September the member, who can draw an £8,000 allowance from the district authority, owed it more than £900.
He was also taken to court by Wessex Water and ordered to pay £825. Mr Francis-Pester has not responded to the BBC's requests for comment.
Mr Francis-Pester is North Somerset MP Liam Fox's election agent, the representative for the Easton-in-Gordano ward and a former member of North Somerset Council's cabinet.
He owed £904.69 in unpaid council tax on 7 September last year, court papers show. The district council has not yet said if the money has been paid.
Magistrates granted the council a liability order, which gave it the power to withdraw the money directly from Mr Francis-Pester's salary or to send in bailiffs.
