A man wanted for robbery and kidnap, who mocked police by posting photographs of himself on social media during a day out in London, has been arrested.

Lee Mapstone from Swindon, who was also wanted for recall to prison, had been on the run since 25 September.

The 36-year-old taunted officers by posting snaps of Buckingham Palace, The Ritz and police stations on Facebook.

Wiltshire Police said he was arrested at an address in Swindon on Wednesday.

A spokesman for the force said: "We would like to thank the members of public who came forward to provide vital information in relation to Lee Mapstone and his whereabouts."

He is due to appear before Swindon magistrates on Friday.
