Two people have died and one person has been left in a critical condition in a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to the A361 Frome Bypass at 22:30 BST on Tuesday, following reports of a collision involving two vehicles.
Two people in one of the cars were declared dead at the scene, Avon and Somerset Police said.
A man from the second car was taken to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries, police said.
"Our thoughts are with their family and a specially trained officer will support them during this difficult time," police said.
The road has been reopened, after being shut between Berkley Roundabout and the junction with the A362.
Officers said they wanted to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash.
They are also urging anyone with relevant footage, including CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage from around the time of the collision, to come forward.
