Taunton lorry carrying old electrical items catches fire

Emergency services attended the fire on Frobisher Way in Taunton

Residents are being told to close windows after a lorry carrying old electrical items caught on fire.

Devon and Somerset Fire Service (DSFRS) tackled the blaze on Frobisher Way, Taunton, in the early hours.

Fire crews from Taunton and Bridgwater were using main jets and an aerial ladder platform and were assisted by Avon and Somerset Police.

A DSFRS spokesperson said residents doors and windows stay closed due to the smoke and smell.
