Doncaster Quality Street thief jailed for stealing sweets worth £51

A shoplifter with a taste for Quality Street has been jailed after stealing armfuls of the confectionery from a Doncaster shop.
Owen Stothard, 34, raided the shelves of a One Stop store in Balby on three separate occasions in September.
Stothard, of Firbeck House, Doncaster, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft after taking off with sweets and chocolates worth £51.
He was jailed for 18 weeks at Doncaster Magistrates' Court on 17 October.
Ch Insp David Struggles from the Doncaster district police team said Stothard was a known shoplifter who had been "prolific" in his offending.
