A man arrested suspicion of murder after the body of another man was found in Sheffield has been released on police bail.

South Yorkshire Police were called to Leighton Road, in Gleadless, on Monday after receiving reports of concern for the safety of a man.

The 41-year-old was dead when officers arrived at the scene.

A man, 46, arrested in connection with his death has since been released pending further inquiries.

A police spokesperson said a post-mortem examination had proved inconclusive and officers were still working to determine the exact circumstances which led to the man's death.

The force asked for anyone with information to contact them.
