Barnsley fraudster: Hidden filming catches 'injured' woman out

Surveillance footage taken by an insurance company caught out a woman who fraudulently claimed almost £500,000 in damages.

Patricia Rogers, 25, of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, claimed damages worth £492,141 from NFU Mutual after she was involved in a crash in 2014.

She said she was left unable to walk unaided, but in 2017 was seen running across the stage on ITV show Jeremy Kyle.

Rogers admitted fraud by false representation and was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday.
