Sheffield: Cordon in place after shots fired at building
- Published
Police have cordoned off a block of flats in Sheffield following reports of "multiple shots" being fired at a property.
Firearms officers were deployed to Gresley Road, in Lowedges, at about 22:40 BST on Wednesday.
South Yorkshire Police said no injuries had been reported but a property had been damaged and evidence "consistent with a firearms discharge" found.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
A force spokesperson said additional officers would be in the area to reassure the community.
