Alton Towers' Smiler fine of £5m 'means nothing' says victim
A woman who was seriously injured in the Smiler crash at Alton Towers has said the £5m fine imposed on the company means nothing.
Chanda Chauhan, who was at Stafford Crown Court for the hearing, said her family's funding had been stopped and she needed more help.
Sixteen people were injured in the June 2015 crash at the Staffordshire theme park, including two teenage girls who needed leg amputations.
Nick Varney, chief executive of Alton Towers operator Merlin, said outside court they had strived to support victims in every way.
