Victim in Stoke-on-Trent murder investigation named

A man whose death is being treated as murder has been named by police.

Lee Jones was found injured at a flat on Garsdale Crescent in Stoke-on-Trent, on 28 September.

The 49-year-old from Silverdale died in hospital the following day, said Staffordshire Police.

A 30-year-old woman from Stoke-on-Trent arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail as the investigation continues.

The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to recent police contact, added Staffordshire Police.
