A woman held on suspicion of murdering a 77-year-old man in Suffolk has been released from hospital.

Police found Paul Norfolk's body after forcing their way into his house in Castle Lane, Haverhill at about 22:00 GMT on Friday.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s and from the Haverhill area, was also found inside the property with a head injury.

Post-mortem tests showed Mr Norfolk died from head injuries.

The woman was arrested at Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge.

She was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Officers were called to the address after being contacted by a member of the public reporting concerns about a resident in Castle Lane.

A cordon remains at the house as scenes of crime officers investigate.
