Latitude Festival: No chance of cancellation, says organiser

The organiser of Latitude says there is no chance of this weekend's festival being called off due to the weather.
Several events in Suffolk have been cancelled this summer, including the Suffolk Show and the Ipswich Mela.
But Melvin Benn, director of Festival Republic, said the 35,000 capacity Henham Park site near Southwold could cope with the forecast rain.
"I don't need a plan B," he said. "(Henham Park) is on a sandy base and drains well."
Although the arena and campsites have avoided problems in previous years, some festival-goers in 2011 had trouble getting vehicles in and out of the car parks due to mud.
"If there is difficulty I've got tractors standing by, trackways and temporary fencing," said Mr Benn.
"What I do know is that I'm not anticipating scenes like what people have seen at Silverstone.
"People can come feeling very positive that there will be absolutely no cancellation."
Lang Lang, Tim Minchin and Janelle Monae are among the acts performing at the seventh Latitude Festival - which runs from Thursday to Sunday.
