Planners have given the go-ahead for a new supermarket but turned down proposals for two more stores in a Suffolk town.

A Morrisons store has been approved to be built on the site of a former gas works at Exning Road in Newmarket.

Applications for new Asda and Sainsbury's supermarkets were rejected by Forest Heath District Council.

A submission by Tesco to expand its existing store in Fordham Road was also agreed at the meeting in Mildenhall.
