Two Door Cinema Club, Billy Bragg and Haim are among the first names to be announced for next year's Latitude Festival.
The festival of music and arts is taking place at Henham Park, near Southwold, for a ninth year on 17-20 July.
Bassist Kevin Baird said Two Door Cinema Club, who formed in 2007, would not be daunted by the occasion.
"We're ready to headline," he said. "We're ready to smash it."
The Irish trio have released two albums, with last year's Beacon reaching number two in the UK charts.
'Big deal'
"Over the past five years we've made the progression from playing in the small tents to being close to the top of the bill on the main stage," Baird said.
"Headlining a great festival like Latitude is obviously quite a big deal for us but we also feel like it is the next natural step."
Royksopp and Robyn, Booker T. Jones, Anna Calvi, Goat, Willis Earl Beal and Marika Hackman have also been announced for the festival.
Details of the arts line up and other musical performers will be announced next year.
Organiser Festival Republic says it has introduced a new staggered pay scheme to help people spread the cost of buying tickets, which cost £182.50 plus booking fees.
