RMT staff at Greater Anglia strike over guards dispute

Train conductors working for Greater Anglia are taking strike action due to fears over safety.

RMT union members have walked out in a dispute over staffing/driver-only trains.

It's the first of two planned days of action, with another one due on Thursday.

Greater Anglia said it had been running a full service, apart from some disruption due to a signal failure at Liverpool Street, since the 24-hour action began at midnight.
