Ipswich Council remains Labour-run

The Labour Party retained its position of strength at Ipswich Borough Council - gaining one ward from Conservative Party.

The Tories held their three other wards and the Liberal Democrats also held on to their ward, as a third of seats (16) were contested.

The result means Labour have 34 seats, the Conservatives have 12 and the Lib Dems have two, so Labour was never going to lose control of the council.
