RSPB Minsmere: 'Magical' makeover for 800-year-old medieval chapel

A medieval chapel has had a specially designed stained-glass window installed to mark 800 years since it was built.

The piece, designed by artist Arabella Marshall, was raised into place at the ruins on the RSPB Minsmere reserve in Suffolk.

The charity was one of a number of groups behind the installation, called A Wing and A Prayer.

Matt Parrott from the RSPB, said: "The installation is magical and the artwork encapsulates so much of the history of this often-overlooked part of the reserve.

"It's nice to have something beautiful added that restores a bit of glory to these ruins."
