Man dies after house fire in Ipswich

Police said a man has died nearly two weeks after a house fire on Macaulay Road

A man has died following a house fire in Ipswich.

Emergency services were called to Macaulay Road in Ipswich at 20:15 BST on 11 October.

A man in his 40s, who was inside the house, sustained serious burns and has since died in hospital, Suffolk Police said.

Investigations into the cause of fire are ongoing but it is not being treated as suspicious, police said.

The man's next of kin have been informed.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact police.
