A third man has been arrested after an attempted murder in London Road in Beccles

A third suspect has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stamped on during an attack.

The incident happened on London Road in Beccles, Suffolk at about 02:45 GMT on 18 November.

Suffolk police arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the incident on Thursday and he has been bailed until February.

Two men have previously been charged with attempted murder of the man in his 50s and were remanded in custody.

Nathan Baker, 19, of Quay Street in Halesworth and Daniel Hermon, 26, of Market Place in Southwold are due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on 18 December.

The victim, who has not been named, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where he remains for treatment.
