A motorcyclist has died in a crash with an SUV on a country lane.

Emergency services were called to the B1118 in Hoxne near Eye, Suffolk, at 09:55 GMT on Thursday.

Police said a silver Kawasaki motorbike was in a collision with a red Volkswagen T-Roc.

Ambulance crews and a critical care team from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service attended, but the motorbike rider - a man in his 30s - died at the scene.

The road was closed for several hours.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or for drivers who were in the area at the time to check their dashcam footage.
