Lowestoft police arrest four teens, one aged 13, for burglary

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage.

Police received a report of suspicious activity in St Margaret's Road in Lowestoft, Suffolk, on Sunday, involving four teenagers.

The victim's back gate was damaged, the door to their garage was found open, and their car was found unlocked with the glovebox open.

The 13-year-old, two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old were taken into custody.

The youngest male was also arrested for interfering with a motor vehicle.

One 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary, the second on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage, and the 16-year-old on suspicion of going equipped, burglary and criminal damage.

Police said they also received a report of an attempted shed break in on Cambridge Road, Lowestoft, in the early hours of Monday morning.
