Car crashes into Bury St Edmunds hotel, injuring worker

A hotel worker has been seriously injured after a car crashed through the front doors into the reception area.
Suffolk Police was called at 20:05 GMT on Friday to reports a Renault Captur had entered the foyer of the Premier Inn on Etna Road, Bury St Edmunds.
A member of staff, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, was not injured and the entrance to the hotel has since been boarded up.
Pictures from the scene showed a car in the foyer area with debris scattered across the ground, as first reported by Suffolk News, external.
Ambulance and fire crews also attended the scene.
A pile of debris could be seen next to the boarded-up door the following morning.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage to get in touch.
