Ex-Vice Admiral appointed new boss of Surrey hospital

Peter Dunt has lived in Guildford for 25 years
An ex-Royal Navy Vice Admiral has been appointed as the new chairman of a Surrey NHS trust.
Peter Dunt will join the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on 1 December and will chair the board of directors and council of governors.
Mr Dunt said: "I intend to do everything in my power to help to provide the best possible care for every patient."
He also sits on a number of boards of private sector companies.
Mr Dunt has been appointed on a salary of £35,000 per year, which the trust said was "£9,500 less than the national average for this post".
The trust has also appointed a new non-executive director and chair of the audit committee Jacqueline Burke.
Ms Burke previously sat on the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust board between 1998 and 2004.
