Frimley Park Hospital access route roadworks begin

Work on a one-way access route which will act as a fast entry point for ambulances and other emergency vehicles at a Surrey hospital is under way.
The access road is part of preparation work being carried out at Frimley Park Hospital for the new £22m emergency department and day surgery extension.
Traffic controls are in place outside the hospital this weekend and next while it is linked to Portsmouth Road.
The nearby pedestrian crossing is also out of use.
The access road work and other preparations for the hospital extension are not related to gas main replacement work currently being carried out by Southern Gas Networks along Portsmouth Road.
