The Canadian road cycling team is to train in Surrey ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, it has been announced.

The announcement follows confirmation last month that the USA cycling team will also train in the county.

The Olympic road cycle races and time trial events will take place in Surrey.

Matthew Knight, of the Canadian Cycling Association, said: "The hospitality that we have received from the Surrey community has been very positive."
