An 83-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a mother and her daughter in Surrey.

John Lowe denies shooting Christine Lee, 66, and her daughter Lucy, 40, at Keepers Cottage Stud dog breeding farm near Farnham, on 23 February.

The body of one of the women was found inside the main building at the farm, while the body of the other woman was found outside, near the animal pens.

Mr Lowe is due to stand trial at Guildford Crown Court on 6 October.

Mr Lowe, a dog breeder who appeared at the Old Bailey via video link, also pleaded not guilty to possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Four dogs - three German shepherds and a Labrador - were also found shot.
