Guildford: Pride in Surrey announces 2024 event in town's Stoke Park

Pride in Surrey will celebrate its fifth anniversary in the county town of Guildford in September.
A High Street parade will be followed by a day-long festival at Stoke Park on 21 September.
Woking, Godalming, Reigate and Camberley have hosted the event before.
Pride in Surrey's chief executive said Pride was not only a celebration of diversity and inclusion but would also support local businesses and "showcase all that Guildford has to offer".
Charlie Watts said: "I am thrilled to be bringing Pride to Guildford this year to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Pride in Surrey.
"Each year we anticipate a significant economic boost to our host town on Pride Day."
He said the event generated on average £350,000 each year.
The first Pride in Surrey parade was held in August 2019 in Woking, and took place as Pride on the Road under Covid-19 restrictions in 2020.
It has since been held in Godalming, Camberley and Reigate.
Julia McShane, Guildford Borough Council's leader, said the celebration was "more than just an event" and the council was honoured to support Pride in Surrey.
She added: "It's a testament to our dedication to inclusivity and honouring the vibrant individuals who enrich our community with diversity.
"As a council and as a community, we cherish these values and look forward to celebrating them together."
